DICE Event: Diversity Gains: BME Women and Career Opportunities

As part of the One World Week, a public discussion organised by the University of Leicester Students’ Union and the Unit for Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement (DICE) will be held on Thursday 11 February 2016, at 6.00pm in the Ken Edwards Lecture Theatre 1. The event is free and open to all. The discussion will review success for BME women and barriers still faced by women when entering the labour market. Two highly successful local BME women, Mehmooda Duke and Rohini Corfield, will participate in the discussion answering questions about their journey in their chosen career field, about challenges they have faced along the way. They will also provide some advice to students and young people on how to achieve their goals.
