IT For Jobsearch With DMU Volunteers

On 20th January 2016 TREC welcomed a group of volunteers from De Montfort University (DMU) Square Mile Programme who will be regularly supporting our service users to develop their IT skills to aid their jobsearch. The student volunteers provide 1:1 support with a particular emphasis on supporting those individuals with little or no knowledge of IT and/or comprehension of the English Language. TREC staff are in discussion with DMU to develop a reading club, where students can support our service users to develop their reading and comprehension skills by reading and conversing with them. TREC is also continuing in its efforts to identify funds and resources to develop this service further.
